A Wild One

The day I been so excited to celebrate has finally come- Landon's first birthday! As a little girl I was always spoiled on my birthdays with only the best decorations and even better treats and company. I wanted to share the spoilage tradition with my son in which I most certainly did!

I went with the "Where the Wild Things Are" theme which seems to be popping up more frequently now as a trend for both birthdays and even baby shower events. I went with this theme more so for its simplicity and nature feel. Although I wanted to splurge, I still wanted to carry out one specific color scheme and trend which were black, white, gold, and green.

Most of the decoration if not all was ordered from Easy and believe it or not a lot of it from Dollar Tree. Specifically, the back drop behind the Wild One balloons are actually cut up hula skirts. I am all for DIY and creative thinking so this was one of my favorite personal touches to the party deco, besides the Landon silly face cupcake toppers!

The vision I had came out exactly how I wanted when decorating my house. Although I was going crazy with the detailing because of my nitpicky persona, I still managed to embody my vision fully.

On the day of the wild rumpus the weather was perfect, the kids were smiling, and the adults were sipping and cooling to the best party tunes. Nonetheless, thank you to everyone who made this special day one to remember!
